darn sorry for ur loss..
I'm sad to say that my gramma buddy who has been with me the longest was challenged to a duel today by the menacing one known as my flame hawk. The gramma not wanting to be laughed at by his peers accepted the challenge. He was a KO in the 14th round........happened while I was at work.
RIP royal one
darn sorry for ur loss..
It was my fault....or should I say I was given some bad advice on the hawks.
which hawk was it? the longnose or the red one?
i have a gamma, they are cool when the open their mouths to stretch or whatever hehe..
get a new one, sometimes we are innocent in the deaths of our animals.. im sure u loved and cared for it so much that some bad advice and negligence of those influencing us caused an unwanted accident to happen..
i remember when my 1st clown died when i was on a trip. since i started teh hobby the clown of 3 years has been through thick and thin, from a noobs tank, to being netted out by my younger bro and burning on the glass tank under the MH, etc... but it died for unapparent reasons when was away..
He was just a normal flame, not longnose. I've decided to upgrade my tank to atleast a 55 so I guess I'll be holding onto him. Will just get fish that will be compatible from now on.
Hey Samper,
I suggest your look into a 75 gallon tank, the tanks are the same sizes except the 75 has 6" more width to it; the added width really makes a difference.
It would be nice to have that extra space for aquascaping. I'll look into that Reefland. Thanks for the input.
That's the key, the extra width for the aquascaping. The extra depth really is worth the few extra dollars.

I'll be buying a house hopefully in the next six months. I am going to continue to learn via my smaller tank until then. Is it correct that it is best to learn about aquariums on a smaller tank since it is harder to maintain water parameters?
It's easier to get used to the maintenance routine, that's for sure. My opinion is small tank, large tank; it really makes no difference. Both require lots of hard work and lots of money; the advantage to a large tank is you have more stocking possibilities.![]()
Sweet 75 gallon and 200 lbs LR and 6 nurse sharks it is.........................![]()
