Carbon Filter
I am having a hair algae outbreak in my tank. I was thinking of getting a hang on power filter from Wal Mart (read Cheap) and running a bag of carbon in it. I would run the carbon for a couple of weeks and then replace the bag with a bag of phosphate remover for a couple of weeks.
Currently I have a bag of Carbon in my sump but I am not sure of the water flow it gets with the skimmer and return pump. It is not in between the pump and the return. Would this be a good idea? If not what else could I do? Thanks
