Hey looks like some nice corals I was wonderin if there was someplace that I could get some coral online. I live in a small town that has about no selection for these and I was also wonderin about coral care. I know nothing about them and was wonderin if you could give me a heads up. Thank you

Tons of places online to get corals! In fact, any GOOD site to get corals, will also include on the page, or a link to, the information about what conditions the coral needs, special care instructions, etc.

A good start would be the "sponsors' page here

Personally I have only bought corals from 2 places online.... one of the sponsors here, Sharky's Reef, (from whom I should add I got excellent service, great communication, and a great shipping price too) and I got some frags from a seller on ebay.

You could also check to see if there is a reefer community in your area, and meet some new people, buy frags from them.

lol, it is just too easy to buy corals, local or otherwise... More difficult is the ability to resist buying until/unless you're sure that your tank/lighting/water parameters are up to the task of providing a good home for them

Shipping is the hardest part about buying critters online, cuz you pay an arm and a leg for next-day-air so they won't die.

There are also some great books about corals and their care, that would be the first thing I would get. I found my books to be an invaluable resource.

Hopefully you can find some local reefers to share corals with, that is the best part of this hobby.

Many of the sponsers have great corals for sale.

Now that your tank is cycling, it's a perfect opportunity to do research on which corals interest you and if you'll be able to meet their care requirements. There are some excellent books listed in our "bookstore", a great one for you would be Aquarium Corals by E. Borneman.

Just don't rush it and definitely don't put any corals in your tank until it is ready.
