worm ID please

I have noticed worms in my tank after the lights go out. The one that I cant identify with books looks like some sort of a segmented worm which can retract back into itself. There are a bunch of these worms in the live rock, but I have never seen one during the day. It is a pale brown and whiteish color. Does anyone know what they are, like I said I cant figure it out from the books, I may just be overlooking it to.

Do a search for "bristleworm" and see if this is what you have.

Also, search for "peanut worm(s)". The retracting part sounds like it may be a peanut worm. I believe they're detritus feeders. I have 2 from what I see living in one rock, been there forever, never caused a problem. Looks so strange when they retract though, creepy. Anyway, that may be what they are, not a big problem from what I understand.
