Some recent dive pictures.
Zoos and proto palythoas mixed in w/some algae more zoos a field of palythoa and a couple of french angels grazing the angels close up

Ok these didnt turn out as good as I wanted...I was trying to get as close to the barracuda as I could though, of course with out him or me freaking out.

Fantastic... it must be incredible to be able to REALLY see the reef how it should be. I would love to go scuba diving someday!

Link on Barracudas. There are 22 species in this family and the only one known to attack humans is the great barracuda. I'm assuming that the stories on that link are all this species.

nice pix rocky
barracudas are curious critters that will come check you out to see what your doing, but are pretty harmless unless your in murky water with low viz & you have something that flashes in the water (think fish scales). if you can see them, & they can see you, your Ok. i was mask to nose with a 5+ footer a few weeks ago that made me blow a few extra bubbles though ![]() |
