Scott? light question
do you remember my pfo ballast we bought when i was in Ky???
I had tried buying a bulb here in florida.. it would not fire it... do you know what type of bulb i need for it to fire? what would you reccomend? and which of the sponsors on here would be the best (read : cheapest) to order it from.?? I am scared to order online in fear that it wont fire...... can ya help me?

It should fire just about any bulb, except for the Double-Ended bulbs and it might not fire the 20k Radiums, but other than that you shouldn't have any problems. What kind of bulb did you pick up? Sure it wasn't just defective?

I was under the impression that PFO ballasts would fire just about any mogule based bulb, with the exception of the Radiums which is a pulse start bulb. All others are probe start bulbs and should work on any ballast, per Joe's study.
You might try to turn the ballast on and off several times to see if you can get it to fire. |
