It is BULL
This is on his web page I drove 2 ½ hrs. to get there when I got there the owner and his 2 workers were to busy trying to sell a clown perc to a guy to talk to me after ½ hr. one worker ask me if she could help me but was not sure of prices on the fish. When I asked about the snails and hermits she gave me different prices then what was on the web page . I asked to talk to the owner when I asked him about the pricing that was on the web he said he had no idea what was on the web page and that they have not carried those snails & hermits in mouths .

than I asked about the fish I wanted he said $$. I said I will take it . he said we close in 5 min. it may take 20 min. to catch it come back tomorrow I told him that I drove 2 ½ hrs one way for the snail & hermits that he did not carry . Can he give a brake and try an catch the fish .

HE SAID NO & AND IT IS NOT HIS PROBLEM.

The coral tanks don’t look like they do on the web page do not go by what you see on that page or you will waist your time and gas money like I did .

Yup, I drove out there one day too, got stopped by a train, got there five minutes late, and they were closed up tight... I told the guy in the parking lot (he was dumping a trash bucket, so obviously he works there, dunno who he is tho) what happened, and told him that really, all I wanted was to look around for a few, see what they had, prices, etc... And he just shrugged, said sorry we're closed, and went on about his biz... It's ok tho, saves me another really long drive..... Deep Blue Reefs and Stingray Bay are pretty good, depending on where exactly you're at...I've heard great things about some other Mich. stores too... tho I haven't had the time (nor money) to visit them all yet

For the record, I've seen alot of reviews on Trop... both good and bad... but I guess I won't be chiming in one way or the other. Most people say "good selection, high prices"
Where are you in Mich anyway?

The last two times I have been, I have had much the same experience. Higher than average prices, for somewhat below average product. Staff that is more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers.

One nice thing they have is their mini-frag trays - 6 or 8 tiny frags on plugs for $99 (or they were last time I looked). Other than that, I'd save the gas, and take my money to Kees or Aquatic Discoveries instead - the quality is about the same, the service much better (especially at Kee's, Dave is a very good guy!) and the prices are usually cheaper.

Both have very good conscientious owners, and always very helpful staff, friendly, knowledgeable... I would recommend them both highly.

I have always had good experiences at Tropicorium, admittedly they are slow, but everytime I have been in there it is PACKED!!! I wouldn't say average product either, they always seem to have MORE then any other LFS I go to, and I don't think the prices are that bad, the LFS up here in Flint MI are WAY WAY higher!! I am have never been to the other two shops mentioned here, I will put them on my short list of places to go for sure though!
