Definitely not a problem. The pygmy angels don't get very big (3-4 inches usually), and they're very beautiful (most especially IMO, the Flame Angel and the Coral Beauty) I've heard some people complain that some angels will nibble on coral polyps, but I've never seen it happen. One important thing to know tho, is that you can't keep more than one angel in a tank, especially a tank that small.

well i went with this pygmy angel i saw at a LFS, it looked very healthy and the guy i was talking to there actually knew what he was talking about, and i was very impressed, we had a very good conversation, and i think this LFS is the best ive been to. he also recommended some freeze dried food for my aquarium, and it only costed about 5$.

Freeze dried what kind of food? For best results, you should offer a variety of foods, not just the cheapest you can get.

Not to say that this food isn't good food to add to your tank (without knowing the name) but what Sueet is saying is feeding 1 food all the time to your tank is not the best practice; a varied diet of different foods is much better.

Brine shrimp is really nothing more than a treat, unless you feed live, gut-loaded brine, which is kind of a pain to do... The flake food, without knowing what kind it is, I couldn't even begin to recommend additions to it... If it is a flake food like, say TetraMin or Wardleys, I would actually recommend you not use it at all, since those are freshwater foods (even tho the labels say "for all tropical fish") ... Ocean Nutrition foods (Prime Reef) are very good, and they make several other freeze dried (and frozen versions of the same) foods, Formula 1, Brine shrimp plus, Formula 2, etc... They would all be good to offer occasionally based on the fish you have. I would strongly recommend cyclo-peeze... I use frozen, but I've heard the freeze-dried works just as well..... The fish love it, and it's definitely adding color to all my critters. I would also recommend the use of products like zoecon and selcon to boost the nutritional value of anything you feed.

Honestly, the what of what you feed is important, but not AS important if you offer a variety, since any one food could be nutritionally incomplete, but any missing nutrients will almost always be present in at least one of the multiple foods you offer. Think about your diet... I'm sure you like pizza, but do you think A. that you could live on it without getting sick of it? and B. that it would provide all of your nutritional needs? Just common sense

Ocean Nutrition's Pygmy Angel Formula frozen food is designed specifically for pygmy angelfish: http://www.oceannutrition.com/produc...ygmyangel.html

They also make several other products that would be suitable for pygmy angelfish: http://www.oceannutrition.com/index.html

You are going to have to properly acclimate the fish to your aquarium water but he should have no problem with the MH. He may hide out for a few days in the more shady areas but I doubt it and really don't forsee a problem.
