Xenia living with 4' Green Moray - 160 ppm Nitrate
I just wanted share this with you.
I have Xenia and few blue leg crabs living with a 4 ' Green Moray eel. The PH is about 8.0 and Nitrates are between 160 -200 ppm. It is a big fish and eats alot. it is economically and phsically very difficult to lower it. Moray does not seem to mind it. The Xenia has been in there for 4 weeks and it looks like it is thriving. I did not think it would survive, but it grows like weeds in my other tank, so I took a piece and put it in with the moray. I hope to create him a "reef" some. That would be cool. |

I heard from a LFS that Xenia some how processed Nitrate... I seriously doubted that it was true, but Maybe your tank can be a testing area for the theory. I would still encourage you to do substantial water changes, many of them! The sooner you can reduce the NO3 the happier that moray will be...
