    7 anemones..........overnight

Today I'm staring at my tank as usual combing every inch with my eyes. When I get to the bottom I notice a small white anemone about the size of a pencil eraser. Cool I say until I notice 6 more that are slightly smaller and in the same general area. They are white with very small short tentacles. Under actinics only I don't notice any sort of flourescence. I look my tank over daily and would have noticed them had they been there before. I'm a little alarmed that overnight there could be so many. Anyone know somewhere where I might be able to see some pics so that I can classify them? Has anyone else had this happen before? They might be some sort of problem anemone and I'm also a little worried about some chemical warfare between them and my rose. No camera available so no pics...
    any insight?

Just an update, I got a good look at the largest ones mouth and the area around it, seems to be a small amount of brown but just in streaks. Can't find a picture so far of what it might be under any sort of pest anemone link.

Are you certain it's not aiptasia? Are they white-white, or clear-ish? Aiptasia babies can be almost clear, which is why they're sometimes also known as 'glass anemones' ..... If not aiptasia, it is probably in the same family, the less problematical anemones tend to be much more controlled in their reproduction rates.

To help things I offer this picture of Aiptasia that I took in my 110g tank which is plagued by them.See if this matching yours.Point of note, this anemone in the picture is about an inch in diameter so it might look a bit different then yours if yours is just a juvie.

These anemones are white so far with just a slight bit of brown streaks around the mouth area. Tentacles are still very short and they all seem to curve a little at the end. As of this morning I still have seven but two of them moved to a spot that IF I did have to do some kalk injections they would be very difficult to get to. Zhenya did you take that pic under actinics? When mine are on I can't even see these guys, well I mean they don't seem to have a flourescence. I'm keeping a very close eye on them and will inject kalk paste if needed. Army medic gave me a syringe just in case.

Hope I did the right thing... ...Was looking at the largest one and the more I looked at the more it looked like aptasia to me so I mixed up some kalk. I used 2tsp of kalk per 1 tsp of water and made a thick paste. I used a syringe given to my by an army medic and drew up 8cc. Had to move two pieces of LR to get to a couple of them. I stuck the needle right in their mouths and slowly put about a half cc into each one. As of now they all seem to be melted except one. I can still see his foot attached to the glass so I might hit him again. Yeah they're beautiful and yeah they're natural but I've spent too much money to have something like that take over. If I had more resources I would have started a tank for them but I didn't. I'm sure that if it was aptasia that my battle isn't over cause I know there are a few that I couldnt see in the LR. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thought I got rid of em until today when I found another pretty good size one attached to the bottom. I quickly melted him.....
There has got to be one hidden from me that keeps em coming back but I don't see him from any angle that I have. Might have to manually inspect the LR.
