90 Gal. filtration
Hello, I own a 90 Gal. reef tank, stocking fish, invertebrates, liverock, and corals.
I am upgrading my filtration from a canister filter, therefore, doing away with it. My idea is to have a prefilter overflow box bringing water down to a wet/dry system with filter floss and trickle bio balls, a protien skimmer in the sump, actived carbon, and one power head to help water flow better. Is this the right idea? What essential filtration system is recommended for this setup? Please comment on the must haves, versus the optimal system. Mike |

you will need more than a power head for return,,, i would use atleast a mag drive 9.5
i wouldnt use the wet dry with corals, you are better off getting a large sump and putting a refugium in it,,, depending on coral stock, more than 1 powerhead would be needed.....
