I take it the question is "will your mated pair of coral banded shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) get along with your new "sally lightfoot?" I take it we are not asking about "some cleaners," right? Because at first I thought that you might have bought some cleaner shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis et al.) and were wondering if your coral banded shrimp would tear them apart if given the chance, but I take it we are only concerned with whatever they sold you as a "sally lightfoot?"

I think you will be OK unless the "sally lightfoot" is very small compared to the coral banded shrimp. BTW, I wonder if it's possible that they really sold you a real sally lightfoot? I sort of doubt it but that's another story. The real sally lightfoot is Grapsus grapsus and comes from the cool water around the Galapagos Islands. Most LFS are selling the nimble spray crab (Percnon gibbesi) from the tropical Caribbean and calling it the "sally lightfoot." In fact, this is so common that most people in the hobby consider Percnon gibbesi to be the sally lightfoot crab. Another reason why common names are so confusing.

Whatever it is, you will probably be OK. I definitely wouldn't add any other shrimp with your pair of Stenopus hispidus as they are very territorial and will usually not tolerate other shrimp unless it is a large tank.
