    Hi waterfaller1, Welcome to Reefland!

Sure would love to hear a little bit about your tank (or plans if planning one).

    Welcome to Reefland, waterfaller1!

Did you get any damage from Hurricane Charley?

    Thanks for the welcome
    I have a 75 gal. mixed reef,w/ a 30 gal refugium,and 20 gal. sump.What are the size limits for photos here?
Ninong,I was pretty lucky,as far as the hurricane goes.I did have to sit a vigil w/ my tank all night, recharging deep cycle batteries off my car.I was not ready at all for the storm. As a matter of fact,Charley is sort of what brought me here today,in a roundabout way.Months ago,I had seen reference to your member named Rocky, and his greenhouse, but did'nt know where he was.Today I saw reference to him again, and sadly that he had lost it to the hurricane. So my curiousity brought me here..after someone said this is where he hangs out.

    Thank you Reefland and Samper
Ok here goes..it's a pretty heavy load..but my parameters are right on the money.
    Weekly automated water changes are performed,using another 30 gal tank,with a valve manifold.It also has auto top-off,dosing pumps for a 2 part A+B called Ocean's Blend{locally made},and intermatic timers.
    Lighting over DT is:2 X 250 10 K Ushio MH's w/ 2 Blueline Ballasts and
    4 X 110 URI super actinic VHO's on a 660 icecap ballast.
It has an open system w/an overflow, skimmer in sump,an external blueline pump which tees off to the refugium which sits off to the left of the DT in an alcove in the wall..slightly higher than the tank,it returns by a bulkhead via gravity, and a closed loop on a smaller blueline pump w/ a SCWD device.Lighting over refugium w/ xenia and a few macros is 2X 65 wt PC's.I lost track of how much LR..probably upwards of 180 LBS. including refugium.
    Tank inhabitants are:
    1 female squareback anthias,1 sixline wrasse,1 yellow coris wrasse,2 Oscellaris clowns,1 lawnmower blenny,1 strawberry scooter,2 green mandarins
3 neon gobies {2 gold 1 blue},1 yellowtail damsel..{which I am working on getting out},1 flame hawkfish,3 sexy shrimp ,2 skunk cleaner shrimp
3 emerald crabs,1 tuxedo urchin,2 porcelain crabs,2 atlantic spotted cucumbers,2 rose bubble tip anemones, scarlet hermits, feather dusters,a coco worm, lots of christmas tree worms, star, astria, turbo, cerith, nassarius, bumblebee ,and stomatella snails.Lots of sand critters and rock critters.
    Corals:
softies:all kinds of mushrooms, lots of zoanthids, green star and yellow colony polyps, toadstool, finger, devils hand, and fiji yellow leather, lots of ricordia,3 kinds of xenia.
    LPS:hammer,cynarina,open brain,trumpet,candy cane,blastomussa,alveopora.2 maze brains
sps and hard coral:montipora digitata..orange,green and purple, montipora capricornus, orange, green and purple.pocillipora pink and purple, a hydnophora, and some green, purple and lt green acros.
    There you go..
wow that's a bunch of stuff!
Oh..and if you know where I can get an acanthastria lordhowensis..I am searching

Very impressive, I'm green with envy. I'm glad to find another here with a flamehawk, awesome personality. Noticed any extremely aggressive behavior out of him? Especially with the Oscellaris, shrimp or crabs?

Oh and as for the Acanthastrea lordhowensis it's beautiful but I haven't seen one for sale. I'm sure some of the others can point steer you toward the right source.

The flame hawk and the lmb both have the most personality!I have'nt had any problems with the hawk.I call him scooby doo, because he wags his back and tail fin, like a dog wags his tail. And I call the LMB Dr. Suess, because he reminds me of one of his characters
On the Lord H.,I finally found one this weekend, and was the winning bidder until this morning..it finally sold tonight, for 415.00!

There are several people on RC selling these... they are VERY pricey tho.. like $100/polyp..... are you SURE you want one? Sheesh, that's crazy.
