Help! Critter Identification
I have a fowlr tank and I was cleaning out my sponge filterin my overflow and there were three or four worm-like critters on the sponge. When I removed the sponge to rinse it out they started to move and they fell into the sink. They were no bigger than 1/4 to1/2 an inch. They dark but shiny and smooth. They had two antannea and they moved very fast in the sink. Does anyone have any ideas of what they could be. If I see anymore I will try to get a picture of them. This is the first time I have noticed them in my tank.
Thanks |

I second that opinion, sounds like Stomatella to me too. They do move incredibly quickly for snails, and they're very good for your tank... They eat algae like it's going out of style, and they reproduce easily too.
