pictures of my new fish

Here are some pictures of my new fish, as I lost most of my fish and some of my corals during the very hot weather this summer. I think I have it corrected now.

my niger trigger, foxface, and my tank

I always wanted a niger trigger. I was told that they are not reef safe. Do you have any problems with your trigger eating corals?

there are some triggers that can be "considered" somewhat reef safe..

they are the ones like the nigers..
with the rounded, upturned mouths.

i think the blue jaw, niger, pink< i think.. are more water colum feeders.. others like the humma, clown etc with the pointy mouths are more suited with eating snails crabs and corals, that is what the mouth shapes are for..

i know i do not speak scientifically, but you get the idea..

The niger doesn't bother the corals at all. He loves to eat from the lettuce clip and whatever else I feed the tank. He is very well behaved. The sailfin tang is more aggressive than the trigger!

I've got a Niger - he spends the day swimming into the current. At least until he sees someone with food - never seen a fish move so fast .... Only possible issue - we've been unable to keep crabs. Snails do fine, but all non-hermit crabs disappear. People tell me it's the trigger, but we've never seen him pay any attention to anything, and I don't think it's him. But we don't have anyone else to blame. He definitely leaves the corals alone.

YAY!! I'm not the only one anymore!

My trigger is a model citizen, except I have seem him munch on some of those snail, slug type creatures. They are black with only a "half shell" kinda like a clam shell on their back. He leaves everything else alone.
