Okay, wait a sec. That doesn' t look like a deep sand bed to me.

Is it 4+ inches?? Hmm. Tanks looks good. Will this become SPS, or mainly softies and LPS?

Regards,
Ilham

It's a standard 55, the stand covers part of the bottom of the tank, so the sand is deeper than it looks like it is. THe rock came from several different sources. HE bought some of it, and I gave him some of it. It is a combination of Fiji, Tonga plate, A little Vanuatu, and some of it was cultured in a 110 I once had. Probably about 80 lbs. The Vast majority of the rock has been out of the ocean for 3+ years. I think I got most of the questions. (I know this because I helped him install the DSB, and he's also a good friend, great guy.)

Thanks Johnny! It looks like Bio has covered all the questions Well hes right the last inch of sand is covered by the stand. It still only measures 3 1/2 to 4 in at times should I add a little more? I just got over the damn Diatom outbreak.
Keep the reef,

I am doing some renovations friend. I am in the process for putting a overflow and a sump/refugium/scrubber job as well. Right now there is just a skilter on it. But I'm going skimmerless soon. I have added an additional inch of caribsea special grade reef sand and I think thats about right.

Yes I think I gonna do a cpr overflow cause the tanks already set up and I can't drill. I'm really wanting a system that almost takes care of itself.
