Intense Metal Halide lighting, in addition to a very mature, well established aquarium would be the starting point to growing a healthy anemone. If your bulb is not appropriate for a reef, and you want to keep your anemone, getting the correct lighting above it is a good start.

I keep a Entacmaea quadricolor or rose if you will under a pc light as a host for my gold banded maroon. The rose is about 7 inches from the surface and is very healthy, and very beautiful in color. When the 10ks are on he is open full and stretched out to maximize his light intake. I'm positive he's getting enough light but just to make sure he's healthy I feed him a small piece of shrimp weekly.

I also kept a Condylactus Gigantea for many months under a 28w 50/50 pc and that sucker got huge. The only reason he is gone is because they get the size of a vw bug so I traded him in for a few snails.
The Gigantea lived through crazy water conditions, fluctuations, a move, a power head sucking him up and finally back to the lfs, I know that sucker is still alive today. The rose however has had very pristine water conditions and better lighting. I plan on keeping him around permanently.
