Nerite Snails
I have a 60 gal. brakish tank with some redish brown algae. I need to know if I can get away with adding any nerite snails to the tank. My salinity is 1.006 and all freshwater snails I have tried have died.

Hi crossouttheeyes, welcome to Reefland!
![]() Interesting question. I know that there are both freshwater and saltwater species of Nerite snails so maybe there are some that will thrive in brackish water. P.S. -- Where is Mobile, LA? Or do you mean AL?
