Too many snails

Sorry for all the pondering questions tonight but...

I was just on a retail website and they had 82 snails in a janitor package. What happens when the 82 snails cruise through all troubled areas? will there still be enough not nusience algae to support 82 snails?

How do you judge how many is too many?

It really depends on your size of tank. A starting rule of thumb is 1 snail per tank capacity.

Ok in that case, 3 per gallon! That is a pretty good deal, I hope they acclimate well for you.
