taking out a fish
i am thinking of taking a powder brown out of a tank he is in a 72 gal bow front do you all think we are being cruel to this fish he is about 4-5 inches long and is king of the tank he looks happy we realy like this fish and are a little woreid about taking him out and taking him back to the lfs and some one geting him and killing him he is a very agresive tang but we still like him a lot

Neal,
Sorry to hear about your Black Cap. Your Tang sounds quite aggressive since he/she has killed fish previously. Is there anyway you can remove the tang to a temporary tank, get the new fish, let the new fish get "settled in", and then reintroduce the tang? Sometimes that works. If not, then I don't want to be the one to tell you to get rid of it, but if the tang continues to kill newly introduced fish you may not have a choice. Either that or don't introduce new fish. FWIW
