need some help with an i.d.

Hello all. I have found a few of these on the glass in my tank. there are enough of them that they concern me. with a few notable exceptions, anytime I see several of anything I get concerned. they have been present for maybe a week now. the tank itself is a 75 gallon wiht a mix of sps and lps corals. all my numbers are good. I have enought light for the tank. there are few fish in the tank, 1 kole, 1 scopus, a serpent star, a sand sifter, 1 maxima, and a clean up crew - turbos, a few mexicans, some blue and red crabs and 2 pipefish (took a chance on them a while back and they seem to be doing well). the only other thing that I can say has changed with my tank is that I added a refugium within the last three weeks. I found the picture on another board but no one had I.d'd the picture. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same thing. From what I was told they are some type of harmless filter sponge.

Reef Central does not allow hot linking of their images, could you post the image using the Attachment Feature or Reefland's Gallery?

Everytime I see a reply to this thread I think someone has come back with the scientific name that I have been too lazy to search for. Well I decided to take a few minutes and search and I still couldn't come up with it.
