Banggai Cardinalfish Pregnant?

Anyone ever bred Pterapogon kauderni? I know that they are basically impossible to sex, except when the male is carrying eggs. The reason I ask is that today I noticed one of my Pterapogon kauderni's mouth has changed significantly. It is protruding out quite a bit in the center like there is something inside it. The other Pterapogon kauderni looks normal. I will try to watch "him" closely to see if I can see anything in "his" mouth.

If his lower jaw is bulging out, he's probably carrying eggs. If he is, he won't eat until after they hatch. Here is some information on sexual dimorphorism in Banggai Cardinalfish: http://www.reefs.org/library/talklog...ke_102499.html

I'm not home right now so I don't have access to my usual links but Dr. Frank Marini (fmarini on this board) is a Banggai breeder who has written several articles on these fish.

P.S. -- The female lays the eggs, the male merely incubates them until they hatch. They are mouth brooders.
