Brain malfunction......stupid question
I am doing a water change today.......sadly I have let the water level in my tank drop a little below normal so the SG in there is 1.027. The water I have made up is 1.025. I think I need to drain out about a half gallon more of the old water than the fresh I'm putting back in to lower it is this right or am I not thinking straight?

That will work. Water replacement is not the same as replenishing from evaporation.
