Allright, we got a winner and Rebecca is the one... Post numer 1000 belongs to her and now I have to come up with some sort of prize...

As far as getting a male, I don't think I can do this being that I have that wacky Centropyge bisponosa in the tank as well. So far I got lucky and there is no hostilities between the two, but if I would add another angel it could be disastrous.
I don't think I can afford any fish losses, I just lost my little hawkfish and my beautiful Bartlet Anthias ( found them both on the floor this morning nice and dry... ). Looks like I need to put back my eggcrate back on.

YAY REBECCA! 1000 posts in a single thread! WOW! I wonder how long it would take to get thru all 51 pages!

I have room for maybe one more fish, a male may be it!

Mike, the thread started in October of 2004. I tried going from first post last night but almost fell asleep on page seven, I think...

Forgot about your other angel....

I HATE it when they jump out. I lost a BUNCH of jawfish that way before I figured out that EVERY little gap had to be covered. They don't surf well either.

And I dont' need a prize... getting to look at every one's very cool pics is good enough. Now free digital photog lessons would be another story altogehter....

No matter how well one seems, and for how long you watch it before moving it, they never seem to do well.

Duly noted.

I'm not giving up yet and will try to move it in a different location to see if it will change anything.

bad pics, but as good as I can supply for now..

This is my CBB, Lemon Flatte (I am amazed at the names 7-year-old girls come up with! ). In one pic he's hanging out. In the other, he and one of my serpent stars are both about to have LUNCH (freshly opened clam).

The pics were taken w my boyfriend's camera phone, so apologies in advance for the poor picture quality...

He(she?) is a great fish. Totally eradicated all my aiptasia and chows down on clams and anything else that I put in a clam shell. Had some kind of a parasite when I got him, but 2 weeks in Qtine w formaline did the trick and he's now doing very well. He spends his days browsing and pulling little bits of things off my rocks. He's also eaten some of my smaller worms (I think...). I decided to take a chance on him b/c he was FAT in the store and had only been there for about 3 days when I bought him.

Rebecca,

I'm glad he/she is doing so well for you and it is more than likely due to the dedication on your part.

I want to post this picture that I titled "Face off..."

I like him as well.
You know, my Brostletooth tang is a bully and a raving loonatic but this Scopas is very calm and usually gets in between that bully and my Rabbitfish( who that bully hates for some reason) and the Bristletooth just eases off.
I must add that this particular Brostletoohed tang is indispencible as he;s a voratious grazer and detritus eater. He turns that sand over with a fine comb... or a bristle...

Well, I was thinking this morning of archiving this thread but chaanged my mind and decided to let it run for a bit longer.
Here's couple of new images from me, hope you all like them.
First, a close up shot of the coralites of a new Acropora colony, incidentally I think the neighboring Montipora frag was developing eggs but unfortunatelly they were gone this morning when I went to check on it.

And now some random shots...

Here's a close up of the new Astreopora colony.

And this is some unknown Acropora colony that turn rather nice blue for me.
