![]() I am willing to give the LFS person the benefit of the doubt and accept the possibility that he/she actually witnessed a cleaner shrimp die while eating the slime coating on a Mandarinfish, so why not accept the possibility that he/she may realize that there are several different species of cleaner shrimp in three different families. OK, you're right, that would be a stretch! ![]()

My coral banded shrimp has never cleaned any fish. When a fish goes near it it chases the fish away.

Poseidon,
Since you're a photography junkie, you'll love this guy's website: http://www.ocean-photo.de/index.htm And it's searchable! I entered Stenopus hispidus in his quicksearch feature and up popped this page: http://www.ocean-photo.de/galerie_au...rt=2&submit=OK That's the beauty of using scientific names, they're the same all over the world. I wouldn't bother entering English common names because the site is in German! ![]() P.S. -- OK, so I just now noticed the little union jack flag at the bottom, left side of the page, so it's in either German or English. ![]()

Hi, well to make a long story short, my 75 gallon reef became infested with flat worms from a peice of live rock i put in, my sand was red my rocks was a red brown color, i mean i had it bad, i put in a small Leopard Wrass and believe me within two weeks there wasn't a trace of worms and one fat wrass, never had a problem since, good luck.

I had a large growth of flatworms in my 90 gal.I mean hundreds and hundreds, possibly introduced w/some Atlantic ocean sand a friend brought back from Fla. for me.They would look like carpeting on the sand bed,YUK!I looked into several remedies also, seems I kept the things stirred up and filtered out into my sump for about 4 or 5 months and since they have disappeared???Not one to be found!! Go figure?Don't wig out yet ,it may get worse before it gets better. Marc |
