Congrats kevinpo!

Just wanted to say congratulations on your TOTM with Reefkeeping! As I was going through yours there, I looked back at your feature here and was amazed at the growth you have experienced!

Congratulation, Kevin!

Your tank is an inspiration to many reefers here and just about anywhere else.
I myself have looked at your tank many times and try to gain from your expertise. It's wonderful that your tank is a TOTM on RC, I was just surprized that it wasn't sooner.

Thank you my friends You are very kind!

I just checked and I've cut 1,760 fags out of the tank last year. It's hard to believe that the corals can grow so fast.

Best regards,
Kevin

Congrats, Kevin!

An even older picture would be the one with you inside the tank.

I love the triggers. They are on my shortlist for my tank, but I will probably not try to add two in a 210. I will be adding a small group of pyramid butterflies first, but am waiting for some to turn up. Have you had any problems with the triggers? They have been in your tank for a while, so I would think any bad behavior would have shown up by now. Have you introduced any new fish since the triggers? If so, any problems?

Oh, BTW, I like the rest of your tank, too. I'm still sitting here patiently waiting for all my frags to grow into beatiful colonies like yours. I think I'll be sitting for a while.

The triggers were a bit shy at first especially the male. They don't bother anyone or thing. My Chromis used to chase them but they are OK now. I added a couple more female Anthias a few months ago but the triggers don't seem to notice any other fish or inverts. I also added a couple more small cleaner shrimp a few weeks ago. The triggers don't bother them either. The triggers from the Xanthichthys family are very reef safe with the rare exceptional individual that eats ornamental shrimp.

Regards,
Kevin
PS: George I may try to dig that one up for some size perspective.

Actually it's pretty easy to find people to help. They're the ones with the signs that say "will work for frags" 2 people can cut, acclimate, and mount 100-140 frags in about 4 hours. It takes me about 7 hours to do it myself.

Regards,
Kevin
