I have a dual 96 watt hood with 2 50/50 lamps in it. I need to put new lamps in. Does it matter if I use one 10k and one act 03 instead of 2 50/50.

From mechanical standpoint,NO. It'll depend how you'd like the color and what you keep in your tank and how it all looks to your eye. That's about it,I think.

The only difference is that it's cheaper that way. One 10,000K and one actinic 03 will cost less than two 50/50s. If you had them on separate power cords you would be able to use the actinic lamp for dawn/dusk effects but chances are your fixture has just one power cord, so that's not an option.
