I have all of them from the very first issue and I usually find them quite informative. I was a little disappointed in the 2005 edition but maybe that's because so much has been published online in the past couple of years in Reef Central's excellent online magazine and Reefs.org's excellent magazine that our expectations have been raised.

    For example:

Protein Skimmers Help Your Tank Thrive
Find out how they work, and why you should consider adding one to your system.
    By J. Charles Delbeek, M.Sc.

How many times has Delbeek written on this same topic? He has been writing the same thing for more than a decade now. Unless you are a complete newbie, why would you be interested in finding out how protein skimmers work? If you don't already know how protein skimmers work, you should be buying a book on the basics of the hobby first before purchasing something like this.
