Hi Cavalicious, welcome to Reefland!
Sorry about your rose E-quad but they often meet their demise in intakes. No idea what you little white anemone could be but if it survives, take a picture of it and post it.
I bought a Med-Larg Rose BTA for my Tomato-Clown yesterday. He was happier than can be. He went right for it. Swiming in and out, playing peek-a-boo, and even tried to feed it (by bring little bits of Krill to it). Since I have PLENTY of light in my tank (lined the back of the take with Aluminum Foil) my BTA was content at the bottom of my tank. My clown even declared the area a "No Swim Zone" for my 2 Damsils. All was well, untill...
OK, I have my lights on a timer. My light come on from 5pm to 12midnight. I do this mostly for my LARGE Leather Toadstoll, Pom-Pom Xenia and numerours mushrooms growing all over my Live rocks. Well, midnight came and my BTA was on the move. I checked back at around 2am, and he had planted himself on some rocks (clown still inside). I said ok all well, and went to sleep.![]()
Woke up around 10am, something told me to go to my tank. If my Clown could screem, it would be yelling "HELP ME, JUST DON'T STAND THERE!" The clown was in the BTA trying its hardest to push the BTA from...well you may have guess it...the damn intake to my protein filter. Damn, Damn, Damn! It was all over, half his foot was all the way in the intake. I shut off the intake and a spooky slience fell. All this time my Clown not budging. He stayed a inch from me while I slowly pulled the BTA from the intake. I pulled a good 1 1/2 inches from the intake. Once I got him completly out...I saw the slim, then I knew it was over.
I took him back to the store and they told me that they would give him 2 days at the most. They said I could leave hit here (since I was going on vacation for the holidays) and they would watch it. I'm sure they threw it away when I left. BUT....I went back home depressed, with my sponges and rubberbands in hand (too little to late I guess). I went to move the liverock that the BTA came attached to, and guess what was on the other side of it....A small albino white Anemone. I figured that it had been deprived and forgotten about by the shop, since I doubt they would have gave me a free Anemone. After moving the rock the Little One opened up with mouth fully exposed. I figured he was starving. So I quickly ran to the freezer and thawed out some Krill. Mind you, all this time my Clown is PISSED at me. He attacks the glass when I get anywhere near the tank now. I'll deal with him later. I took the krill with the tweeser and rubbed it against the little baby...something. He latched on, and has been sucking on it for about 40 minutes now.
Alright people, I need your help. I can't let this die. What should I do to nurse this Anemone back to life? I know Anemone normally should be bleach white no matter what, but at the same time, I like to live by the "If it is eating, then its fine" rule. I sure would love to know what type of Anemone it is...any help would be greatfull![]()
