I would like to know a couple of things that have been bugging me but I'm sure you all have answers for.
Stocking Limits:
This is what I already have (tank is 50gal no sump):
1 Bicolor Dwarf Angel
1 Maroon Clownfish
1 Stary Dragonet
1 Cleaner Shrimp
2 Turbo Snails
1 Narsisius Snail (the ones that clean the sand bed, I'm sure I havent spelt it correctly)
1 Blue Legged Hermit Crab
1 Anemone
1 Brittle Star
1 Fire Shrimp
1 Purple Tang
Corals:
Devils Finger
Green Mushrooms
(planning to get a lot more)
I think i'm full up now for good with regards to fish, what about the rest?
Feeding:
Currently I feed my fish & inverts: (all frozen cubes) Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp, "Angel Fish Mix" & "Marine Mix". I also feed my angel fish a strip of seaweed every night.
I usually give a quarter of a cube of brine shrimp & marine mix and at night anotehr quarter of a cube of angel fish mix & mysis shrimp.
Am I feeding to much or to little?
Lighting:
I have 8 T5 actinics of marine white & marine blue overtank luminaires. (4 bulbs in each luminaire) Bearing in mind that I have corals & an anemone how long should I keep the lights on for and should i start off with some on and gradually increase light output or stick them on full for the full period.
I currently gradually turn on each light until it gets around 1 to 1.30pm and then they are full blam until about 10.30pm at night. Is this good or bad???
Water Changes:
I currently do 10 litre water changes every week. Should I be doing more or less? The water I return to the tank is fully prepared reverse osmosis water.
Your help is greatly apreciated. So far I haven't had any losses with the tank and everything is going well, I just think that I should get these things covered so everything can continue to go well...
Look forward to receiving your advice, comments and suggestions. Constructive critisim is most welcome![]()
