Alright, if you know what it is then you know why I need it. My hope is that someone can point me in the most convenient direction to pick some up as I will be dosing soon.

Scott, I think if you have a dog the easiest way would be to contact your vet. Interceptor( as you probably know) is a drug(pills) used to treat heartworms. You can also google it and you'll get some websites( Canada mostly) that sells them. You just need to figure out what size pill you need and tell them that your dog has weight that fits that size pill. Let me look up that thread on RC's sps forum, it used to be a sticky but I don't know if it still is,once I find it I'll send it to you.
Here's Dustin's original thread on RDO http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=45859
and here's a Canadian site that sells it

Kind regards,

I've got the thread on reefs bookmarked, I think the pill size is also listed in there. I was just wondering if the www.petmeds.com method worked? I browsed the site last night and it let me add it to my cart with no problems...
Scott, Interceptor is a drug used to keep dogs from getting heartworms. I just went to my vet. that I use for my dog and explained to him what I needed it for and although I don't use Interceptor for my dogs heartworm preventive he readily gave it to me.
I had a very light infestation and only treated once and haven't seen a bug since. This has been easily about 3-4 months ago.
Hope all goes well for you. I had no problems whatsoever.

SueT,
Did you follow the instructions (water change at 6 hours and again at 24 hours and carbon) or did you use your own method?
Hi Scott, what I did was start treatment first thing the very morning I first noticed the few red mites and as I had the Interceptor for one of those "just in case" instances. I started the treatment by removing all carbon and added the interceptor. I watched carefully but noticed no ill effects at all of my corals. At 6 hours I did the recommended 20% water change. I added my fresh carbon and a new filter of ROWAphos and everything has been fine.
I did "not" lose but maybe a few of my blue legs amazingly. Also, my pod population was not hit too hard either. They seemed stunned and as I didn't see any of the shells I did not remove them and am so glad cause they started "waking" up around the next day.
All has been fine and that is another reason behind my not doing the 3 treatment recommendation.
