Just got some "cured" live rock from the LFS a few days ago, and now white stuff is growing. Some is spongy, some is webby, some is tube-y, some is slimy. Do you know what this is, what it can cause, or how to get rid of it? Thanks.

I can't see the pics at a larger size but to me they all look like sponges.

Yes it does look like a sponge of some sort....Dont worry too much about it, as it probably wont become problematic, and chances are that your lighting (if you have fairly good lighting) will dissipate most of it eventually. Sponges are filter feeders and are usually in lower lighted areas of the reefs. If they look like they are slowly melting away (and usually turn black) then you may want to scrape them off as they are more than likely dieing off
