Talking How fast can Acro Frags grow

I bought one on friday and its now three days later and its been shooting stalks up all over and its gotten pretty big. I mean like crazy. I wish i had a before picture. The frag was one stalk with a smaller stalk. Now it has 5 or 6 3/4inch stalks coming off the intial three inch stalk. Do i have a beast on my hands or is this normal. Its a tan color with a violet shade to it. This is my first acro and a picture will coming as soon as i get home from work guys. Thanks for any information.

It will depend on the species and tank specifics, of course. Generally, though, if all conditions are met for the coral( Alkalinity, Calcium, lighting and water flow.., etc.) they can grow pretty fast(especially captive grown fragments), however, what you describing is really fast. I would love to see a picture of that coral.

Are you sure it's not a soft coral that is just inflating larger than it was when you got it?
