Question New setup

Hello. I've had my new tank up and running (90 gallon) for about a week. I have about 90lb of LR and it appears healthy with a few creatures emerging such as a few small feather dusters. All water test appear clear at this moment. SG and PH are normal.
I have 2 questions, 1) Brown algae appears to be spreading over alot of the LR, especially those closest to the top. Should I be concerned?
2) Once my tank has cycled, I would like to get a few fish and anemones. Do you have any suggestios? I was considering a couple clowns and some damsels, but I have been warned that damsels can become aggressive and territorial. Any other thoughts?
I guess I have a 3rd question. Is it best to get all the fish and invertebrae at once or slowly introduce a couple at a time?

The brown alage you're experiencing is a normal part of the cycle and isn't a concern. It's called a diatom bloom. An anemone will require a metal halide and excellent water quality so be sure you know what you're doing and have the right equipment before you try one. I'd shy away from the damsels you're correct that they are aggressive and territorial. Wait a few months researching the species of fish until you have decided exactly what you want then slowly over time get them and introduce. Consider size, diet, behavior etc etc......... basically make sure they will be happy and that you are providing a good home for them without too many problems. If you add them slowly this gives your system time to build up sufficient bacteria to deal with their wastes more efficiently.

For my 75g I'm planning on having a maximum of 7 fish, all peaceful for the most part. Nothing will be introduced in the first 6 months. I'll then spend the next 2-3 years stocking it.

Hey Ronald,
I would agree, stay away from the damsels. I learned this the hard way. As for adding everything at once is not a good idea. Not only because it can't be healthy for the tank, but part of the pleasure I have found is building this type world a little at a time. I have only been at this for a year and unfortunately I have learned somethings the hard way. I have found this forum is an excellant tool in trouble shooting and growing with your tank. Good Luck and keep in mind Good things come to those who wait.

Keep your lighting off or at least a bare minimum to counter the algae until the tank is fully cycled. I had anemones and no metal halide and they did fine
