trimming grape caulerpa
Ok, I have grape caulerpa in my sump lit 24/7. how often should I trim it to keep it from going bad? Is it a matter of time, space, light or a combination of these? What I have, has been in my sump around 2 months now and I have never trimmed it . Should I? how often?

I think you should trim it because this is the only way to export nutrients. The time frame between pruning times will depend on the growth rate, but I think a smaller amount bi-weekly would be best. If your not experiencing growth rates to accomodate that, then move to montly prunings.

Ok thanks, I my try more light to see I can improve my growth rate. It's growing but slow. According to my test p04 is 0 and phosphates .01 but who knows. I have a red sea test kit and from what I have read may not be so accurate. I am presently experiencing a minor cyno bloom so the macro is not eating up all my excesses nutrients.
