Yes they look nice, but how long do they last and on what ballast? How about this first statement in the ebay link you posted

These bulbs have similar coloration and PAR value to the CoralVue 10K bulbs. Nice bright color with a touch of actinic.

CV bulbs have been tested and on specific ballast I might add. They are good bulbs IMO. The results have been publicly displayed as well. JBNY himself has done extensive research on this area and made it publicly known. But a comparitive to a bulb he has tested just does not do justice to me. What scares me even more is no pic of the bulb itself!? or even the manufacturer of the bulb? Have you emailed this person to ask such stuff? CV's are cheap enough as they are from reputable dealers....why not buy a known CV cant you find them for near the same cost?

FWIW, I just added XM bulbs to my tank. They look very VERY good for 10K's

I have Coral Vues now, and I will be replacing them shortly, they lasted the planned 12 month service term with no problems! I thin I am going to try the XM's they put out the most PAR with my ballast according to Sanjay's testing and are not that much different in cost!

I haven't actually looked everywhere yet, but the few places I did check seem to be around $65.00. I think I paid $56.95 for my CV last year. Here is a link to Champion Lighting's XM page...
