nitrates
my nitrates are way out of range , but my amonia is normal my ph is normal and my nitrites are fine

my yellow tang has lost its brilliant yellow color, and is a pale whitish- yellow with one small bright yellow streak on both sides. He has been this way for several months and seems to be very healthy. |

You'll need to tell us more about your system so we can try to diagnose your problem. Specifically: 1. What size and how old is your tank? 2. What does your filtration consist of? 3. Do you use RO/DI water? 4. What kind of livestock do you have? Nitrates, in a tank that is considered established, are caused by poor husbandry, insufficient or incorrect equipment or something that has died causing the increase. |
