The 120 sump, on the stand to the top of tank is 50". The refugium is drilled near the top of the tank, so that point has to sit higher than the sump to drain into it. And the growout tank needs a hang on overflow box which is about the same height as the growout tank, and that needs to drain into the refugium.

I could of built a new stand for the sump so it sits lower, but then i'm pushing the water up higher, plus I already have a stand so really couldn't justify building a new one to keep the growout tank lower. I'll just have to build a little step up to it.

Ok, I got it now. The sump is actually going to sit on a regular sized stand in the basement. Gotcha!

That's a beautiful stand for the 210, and I'm sure the cabinet maker knows what he's doing, but it sure doesn't look like it will hold that tank once it's full of SW. When I build a stand, I build them like you have the one's in your basement. Not real pretty to look at, but built like a rhino!

Ya come build me a stand... I think we have found our new house, and I am pretty sure I won't be able to keep a 6 ft tank. I'll need a stand for a 90 gallon probably, unless I can get a good deal on a 4ft 110 or something!!!

BTW awesome tanks!! I am sure your existing fish and corals will appreciate the extra room. What is going to be in the empty space to the right of the tank on that stand?

Gosh, I need to get down there and see your tanks again. That angel is gorgeous, and in person this has always been one of my favorite tanks ... just a wonderful mix.

Nothing much has been done but the fun begins tomorrow (Thurs.). We will be transferring everything from the 120 into the 210. Then clean up of the 120 begins. Hopefully have that in the basement and baffles put in by the weekend. Once that is done I can finish running the drains to the sump and get the skimmer and return plumbed in. Hopefully have the sump up and running by early next week.

Most likely later next week the clam tank will be moved and setup.

The tank swap went rather smoothly. Everybody seems to be enjoying there new home. It took about 4 hours to get everything swapped over. Wasn't too bad at all. And I made a new best friend today also, a shopvac!!!! Oh what a wonderful device. Made pulling the old sandbed very easy.

I will have the 120 down in the basement tonight and i'll be putting in the baffles tomorrow, hoping to have the sump running by Monday.

Here's a couple of pics I took quickly of the 210.

Yeah, just the closed loop running now. It almost seems a little much, but i'll have to play around with the outputs positions to see what's going to work best.

Looks very nice Eric! Without having to go back through a couple of pages, what kind of lighting are you running on it?

Wait until everything settles down, and then you'll be wondering how come I can't get more flow!!!
very nice looking tho, I'm glad the switch went smoothly. Until you get into it you always dread even starting!!!
