Clown Question
Has anybody ever noticed if old clown fish grows spurs.
Both of my Maroon clowns are growing spurs or spikes out of thier gills. Its white and is growing out below the eye out of the gill. Look at the picture. I know is a bad pic but you can see the white spur under the eye. Is this normal??

Picture didn't show up, but yes that is normal! Those spikes are present on a lot of different species, especially dwarf angels and tangs, in addition to clowns and damsels...

Yeah it's normal. That's why another common name for the maroon clown is the spinecheek anemonefish.
