Coffee table fishtank
Ok is it me, or does this just seem like a very silly idea or what!?
I know there are other designs out there and there are alot of ppl I know that have never had a fish tank before....ever, are usually the ones that ask about them....I do love the concept and would love to see one but it seems like it would be silly for a reef tank....heck SW tank at that....I kinda think its silly for a FW tank. I just wander if anyone has ever gotten one before and would care to comment on the main problems they have with it and if its worth it to them.

I think it was on RC that I saw one before...maybe. The guy had a small party. Drinking was involved and someone fell through it. Imagine cleaning that up in a drunken stupor.
I don't think it's a good idea at all. Interesting conversation piece but scary IMO. I don't think it could work as a reef for sure due to the flow, lighting and filtration needed but if you were creative enough who knows.

kool for koi, but anything more... hmmmm
Interesting idea, but I dunno if it could work -- how deep is that table?? MAYBE you could keep "tidal pool" critters -- rock anemones, stuff like that if you could get enough flow going. but where do you put the cords for the lights and the pumps and all of that. It wouldn't look very good. ![]() |

So naser even if did the PH and suntubes you would still need to plug in the PH. I suppose you could build an electrical outlet right into the floor...but wat a PITA that would be, and how much sense does it make to put an elec. outlet right under a tank? (not to mention building codes) Or you could put the table against the wall, but arent most coffee tables not adjacent to a wall ![]()

man who knows. im sure having a fish tank table is bad enough i dont think a plug under a tank could get much worse. i was just throwing ideas out. i think it might heat up though since there no air from the top.

I've seen them for sale on Ebay. It sound's like somthing from the same people who brought us the "talking bass" and other useful products!
