flatworm
I got some corals from a buddy the other day who has flatworms. I didn't see any on any of the pieces he gave me however I now have found one in my system. I siphoned it out but I'm sure there are many more. Before the population rises I'm gonna treat with flatworm exit. Any tips before I get started besides the fact that I should be quarantining?

Chuck,
Make sure you read instructions real well and prepare yourself with enough fresh saltwater for exchanges and such. Also, see if you can find that thread in this forum started by fishgeeksrus(I think), Ninong had posted some information on it that may be of some help, IIRC. this one Flatworm exit it is!!!!

I read the thread earlier today.
The only thing that concerns me is the toxins released when they die. I don't think I have many since I've only seen one but I know for sure there will be more. I'll treat this weekend.

Chuck,
Good luck! Before you treat give your tank another good look over and see if you can find more of them.Syphon them out and than threat, I don;t think you should have much trouble given that you didn't find many of them to begin with. The product itself..., well, it is a poison and may kill some other things. You'll just have to see for yourself how your tank will react and be ready to act.

I'm worried about corals and fish of course even though it says it's safe. My other worries include pods, feather dusters, starfish and my cleanup crew. Supposed to be safe but I guess we'll see.

Nothing that kills something is completely safe. It's supposed to be safe WHEN USED AS DIRECTED. There are dozens of feedback threads on this particular product on RC and a few on Reefland, including one from just a few weeks ago. Experiences have been mixed.
