controllers? which 1 best?
Hi fellow Reefers!
I'm having a duel reactor made by a fellow reefer. Though I know a controller is not necessary I still want one. I want to hear your experience with your controllers..... any bad points..... I'm looking at the Octopus3000 or Neptune, both est. about $400.00 Thanks all ![]() |

I have a Neptune Aquacontroller. It was one of the original ones about 3 years ago. I honestly say I love this thing. It controls my chiller, heater, lights, moonlights, wavemaker, etc, etc. I have not had any problems with it at all. I would recommend one to a friend. You are right they are not necessary. I even run the lights on a second tank, in another room, with it. When I have had questions, Curt, in customer service, has answered my emails very quickly and accurately.
I have only heard things about the Octopus controller, but everything I heard was quirky. With pumps interferring with the x-10 modules. Maybe someone that owns an Octopus controller can pipe in and not just get hearsay from me. Good luck....I don't think you will be dissapointed. |
