    Question Tank has cycled

    Do I have to order another crew from IPSF for the new tank? I added one to my 20 gal. a couple of months ago.
    Can I add some of the sand from my nano to the new tank, to start seeding it?
    What else should I do next. I know I have asked in the past, and have been reading earlier post, just want to make sure.
    Also the kits from Inland contain Bristle worms, and I believe I read, once they get big, you have to remove them. Do I have to put them in?
    Also, I need advice as far as snails go. What kind would you guys recommend, and how many for a 168 gal.

    All advice is highly appreciated.

    Susan

    I know I do NOT want scarlet or blue hermits.

    You can send me any bristle worms that you do not wish to keep.

    I would strongly recommend Nassarius snails, 1-2 per gallon. They'll live under the sand, stir it up, and keep your sand clean.

    Hello Sunshine

    I wouldnt worry about bristle worms...even if they do get big rarely are they a problem. and as far as snails I would go with about 100 nassarius, about 48 Trochus grazers, a dozen or two of ceriths and maybe another dozen or two of a mixture of like astrea or turbos ( I wouldnt invest much into these though) Well I would definately order another IPSF seed kit cuz you have a very large tank....personally I would add all of what you have from your 20 and order another seed kit from IPSF and one from Inland Aquatics....that way you are seeded good and have diversity.

    Remember if you dont want hermits (which i highly agree w/you there) then you should probably get a few more snails to take up the slack there.;;
