They look nice, but I would leave them on the bottom for a few days at least to get used to the lighting. Then I would move them up no more then 6" at a time over the next few weeks until you find the "right" place for each. You can always move them DOWN however far you want but going UP must be taken slowly. Inverse Square law applies to intensity of light... If you halve the distance you get 4 times the intensity!!!

Are they captive grown corals? If so what type of lighting did they come from? If you do not know the above, place them in the sand for a week and move them up 6" or so a week unitl you get them very close to the surface (3-4"). With only 150W halides you will have to keep them in about a 12" circle beneath the bulb to achive good growth and color. They appear to be Acropora sp. that like high light and flow.

HTH,
Kevin

i also wanted to ask for someones opinion about where to place this orange cap(circled in red)? Its been in that spot for a while, and hasnt showed much growth, so im wondering where else in the tank can i put it so it starts growing more.

*Im also curious if there are any additives other then kalk and dkh buffer that im already usuing, i can start using to enhance the color of my corals? or is this all just based on water quality, and lighting?
