I have found out that some of my clarkiis exhibit the "Blue-eye"-pearl eye mutation. These ones have a bright blue hue on their top iris. Apparently these are rarer since they occur very infrequently.
Seems apparent as Inlandaquatics.com sells regular tank raised clarkiis for 14.99 and blue-eye clarkii specimens for 39.99. I will try take a photo if I can. The blue, however, is pronounced even at their small size. - Elmo

Congrats again, Ilham. It's certainly an achievement and you should be proud of it.
Now the question, how long you intend on keeping them before you start selling? I had no idea Inland were selling blue eye Clarkii for more money nor I ever saw one in person. I would really like to see it so give it a try with the camera... ![]()

I started selling some today Gene.
I went to one of my LFS and sold 10 for $90. Basically I said, buy 9, and i'll toss one free. He likes them--free shipping for him, totally disease free...parasite free, and captive bred. I intend to start selling online soon. Probably a little higher to compete with other onlines stores, but I will mainly be clownfish only. I'm thinking $12-14 per Tank Raised Clarkii to the general public. Do you think that is too much? Thanks, Elmo

And no, I don't think 12-14 bucks for captive bred Clarkii is too high. The LFS that you sold them to for $9 will probably sell them around 25 dollars each(becouse they are captive bred and deseas free). If I manage to keep my 75g going and convert it to anemone tank, I'll buy a pair myself for my rose bta's. ![]()

Just let me know.I will sell them to LFS for $10 a piece now, and about $12-14 online to the general public. I have to inspect each fish before packing because at this point, I am keeping the blue-eye mutation clarkiis and the misbar clarkiis. They will love it in those rose anemones! The ones at the LFS today were swimming around and didn't go to the rose anemone yet. I'll call the store tomorrow and see if they have taken to it. - Elmo
