Ok I know a bunch of you guys/girls use Salifert. My question is on the part 2 (the pink/red looking grains) says you are supposed to add 1 Spoonfull (little white spoon w/kit) but it doesnt say a Level Spoon or a Heaping Spoon.....I think that the difference between the two can be drastic. I have been using a LEVEL spoonfull each time and most of my corals are doing good and I have slow coralline growth but it is growing. My readings with a level spoon are about 275-280 (im still tweaking my Reactor) But I have a feeling that my CA levels would read much higher if I used a HEAPING spoonful....Your thoughts appreciated

I have been using a level spoon full, but I can't honestly say that I can see a sudden color change. It is quite gradual.

Hi Rocky:
I use a leveled spoonful. I asked George reg. the levels and the CA reactor and here is what he answered. Your reactor will raise levels but it does so VERY slowly. Best to boost things where you want them to be before trying to dial in the reactor HTH Sue |
