We have eggs!!
Saturday while cleaning the inside glass of my tank, one of my clown fish started attacking my hand, at one point drawing blood, ouch!!
Well today I discovered why, ![]() Sorry about the photos, have to learn how to down size them, and the angle was kinda tuff. Also this is the first time I have had a fish breed in one of my tanks, so any advice on what to do next, or when they hatch would be great, thanks

KEWL!
I've seen clowns hosting in hammer and frogspawn and elegant corals before, but I don't think I've ever seen them hosting in SPS. Great pics and congrats!! |

Hi
Those aren't SPS, but I think Finger leather sp. Congrats on the eggs! Looks like they are A. ocellaris? - Elmo

Very cool! It's always exciting to see things thriving in our tanks rather than just surviving. Great job in providing an environment of the caliber that allows them to spawn!
Regards, Kevin

They Done it again
update:
Well I removed the eggs from the 50gal tank and placed them in a 2.5gal tank with a heater and only 5 hatched of the 20 or so eggs. The 5 young are doing ok i guess, feeding them rotifers. pictures to come Today I came home from work and noticed a new batch of eggs (these two have been busy). I think i'll try leaving them in the main tank and hatch them there so the adults can care for them. I think alot of my failure with the first batch came from removing the eggs and the eggs not getting enough attention and mold setting in. from what I can see, there seems to be alot more eggs this time, than in the first batch. This is alot of work, but really cool to see ![]()
