Hi Ben
I would think that would be fairly close to a bioload on your system (depending on setup) and would be extremely selective if I did put another fish in there. How big are the m/g clown, and CB right now?
I have a 29 gal. tank and have a Maroon and Gold Clownfish and a Coral Beauty. What other fish do well, have peaceful temperment, and are not so likely to die in a newly set up tank? Any sites that might help me out would be great!\

Hello Ben
Those two fish do get big for a 29 gallon. Then again i do have 4 clownfishes in a 27 gallon...two separate pairs, which I don't suggest trying.
For your situation, possibly a goby, such as a Watchman goby, or any of the small gobies should do well. Is this tank stocked with lots of live rock or sand?

Please call the Sultan of Oman for me..and have him ship some Amphiprion omanensis :eek3:
Hi Elmo,![]()
I have about 1-2 inches of arag-alive sand and about 35 lbs. of cured,(starting to form coraline) live rock. And I'm glad you said a goby because yesterday I just bought a firefish goby. He seems to do great with the other two. And I know I have to take the other two out eventually but for right now they seem peaceful and happy with their space. The Coral Beauty is only about 2 1/2" long and the clown is only 1 1/2" long. How do you know when they are getting too big for the tank? Do they show any specific signs? Also I was wondering how a serpant star would do in a tank like this? I've read that you can get one for every 10 gallons of tank. Now, I don't want to get more than just one, but still wanted to get your opinion on this. You seem to be a little more experienced than me. I've only been into the hobby for close to 6 months but LOVE doing it! Any opinions you'd like to share would be awesome!

Hi Rocky,
The m/g clown is about 1 1/2" long and the coral beauty is about 1 1/2-2" long. I heard gobys are reefsafe and peaceful as well so I added a firefish goby and they all seem happier. I also added my very first plant or coral of any sort. It's a green polyp with green little tips at the end of these fingers. I don't know any technical name for it. Anyways, is this a good polyp to have? Easy to keep alive
