I can't deal with the amount of bubbles my remora is dumping into my tank anymore. The tank is pretty small, 26G Bow, and I don't really have the room or visual preference to put in the preskimmer box. I was wondering if you all thought it would be ok to just run the skimmer when the lights are off for 10 hrs/day. The tank is pretty heavily stocked with 2 ocellaris, a 6-line, and a candy hog, and some sun coral that eats like a pig. I have the mj1200 on the skimmer, and it is rated for a much larger tank. 30-50% of my flow comes from the skimmer too, so it would also mix up the flow some if I ran it just at night. what do you all think?

There are plenty of people that run skimmers less than 24/7. You will need to evaluate this ongoing and be sure to incorporate other nutrient export methods if needed.
