I don't know what Moena is, Do you mean Monano? If so, I have about 60lbs. of it along about 100lbs. of Marshall Island in my tank. The Monano seems to be lighter and more porous than the Marshall Is. and a lot more brittle. The stuff breaks very easily. Very nice shapes, close in shapes as the Marshall Is. IME.

I think that may be what I heard about. My lfs has both Fiji ($4.99) and Manono ($6.99). He told me that the Nanono is much better than the Fiji but I had not heard of it before and he usually only carries Fiji.
I bought a bunch of stuff from him to upgrade my FO to a reef and he is going to sell me the Manono for $4.99. It seemed like a good prices considering the shipping I would have to pay through online vendors and he is going to cure it in his holding tank for several weeks for me. Anyone else have opinions of this rock vs. other kinds? |

I have a few pieces manono in my 10 gallon. It has great shapes and corraline but basically I cant tell the difference from the piece of Fiji I have. It was $10 a pound but had tons of life on it. THe Fiji was $7 a pound and had lots of life on it, which included aipistasia. So whatever looks nicer at your lfs
